I am constantly coming across little prayers that people say before their meals that I think to myself "I HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT!" I have decided to start keeping a list of them on here. I would so love to hear everyones traditions if you have one. Growing up we always said (and this includes all of my extended family too!) "Bless us O Lord for these thy gifts we are about to receive from your bounty O Lord. Amen." About 5 years ago we starting having my middle daughter Sara just say our prayer for us because she has the gift of saying what she has in her heart and it is usually what we have in our heart but we dont know how to say it. Love ya Sara.
This morning I found this. "Come Lord Jesus, be our guest, And may our meal by thee be blest."
Sweet, Simple, Lovely.
3 girls, me, and a recipe
Welcome! I hope you enjoy reading about the passions in my life, my family, cooking, gardening, my pets and making memories that my girls will pass on to their children.

we aren't regular grace sayers. Mainly because we don't get to all eat together as regularly as we used to. Schedules have us flying everywhere. But the "Bless us O Lord" is usually said unless Zachary wants to say something. I could very easily see him as a priest.
Thanks for the sweet post.
